Our aim is to support and guide you on your journey to gaining a qualification of your choice. We aim to create a sense of community amongst our participants by giving support and direction. GRACE WALSH
Grace provides health education with passion and purpose. She describes herself as an educator who thrives on meeting people’s needs in a practical and holistic way. She strives to equip leaders in organisations to step up and empower people to live a healthy life and enjoys sharing practical insights she has gleaned as a psychiatric nurse and a lecturer.
Grace also worked as a Director for Community, Health and Disability for a large voluntary organisation. Her leadership style is one where she demonstrates integrity and operating to her values and ethics of ensuring information on healthy living is accessible and inclusive. She enjoys sharing practical insights she has gleaned
working as a psychiatric nurse and as a lecturer and has delivered seminars and workshops to a wide range of organisations including organising health retreats for
clients.
She has a desire to see organisations and communities transform to places where people can flourish and thrive and make better health and lifestyle choices in their workplace and in society, thus leaving a better example for the next generation. Grace uses a comprehensive approach to help people improve their health by embracing the spiritual, mental, physical, emotional, and social wellbeing and she believes strongly that health is by ‘Choice; and not by ‘Chance’. Her other interests include walking, playing racket ball and reading literature that relate to health and personal development.

The CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled. Everyone who works with food has a special responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers and ensuring that the food they serve or sell is perfectly safe to eat. The Government is committed to reducing death and ill health caused by diet-related disease. More than ever caterers need to understand the link between diet and health.

Learning outcomes of this qualification include:

Firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved.

Understanding of how to control food safety risks (personal hygiene, food storage, cooking and handling)

Confidence and expertise to safely deliver quality food to customers
Refreshment of this qualification is recommended at least every three years.
